Scoot's Embraer E2 aircraft is Southeast Asia's first

SCOOT HAS TAKEN DELIVERY of the first of nine new Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. Named Explorer 3.0, in celebration of the third and newest addition to the Scoot fleet, the delivery of the E190-E2 regional jet marks the first time a Singapore carrier has introduced an aircraft from the Brazilian manufacturer. Scoot’s E2 services are set to begin this May, with Explorer 3.0’s inaugural flight to Krabi, Thailand. The airline will deploy the E190-E2 on two new routes, Koh Samui and Sibu, as well as existing destinations in Malaysia and Thailand, including Hat Yai, Kuantan, Krabi, and Miri. Scoot’s second E190-E2 is due to join the fleet in the coming weeks. Scoot is a low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines.
