Air Astana grows Asia-Pacific network

FAST-EXPANDING Central Asian carrier Air Astana is boosting its Asia-Pacific flight network (in the current winter schedule) with new services to Thailand, South Korea and China. The new routes include a service from Astana, Kazakhstan to Phuket, which will operate three times a week, complementing the current 11 weekly flights from Almaty, Kazakhstan to Phuket, as well as daily flights from Almaty to the Thai capital, Bangkok. Also being introduced in the current schedule is a service from Almaty to the Vietnamese resort island of Phu Quoc (five a week). This is the first time the Kazakh carrier is offering a service to Vietnam.
