Star Alliance unveils lounge at Guangzhou – its first in Asia-Pacific

STAR ALLIANCE HAS opened its first lounge in Asia-Pacific at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (GBIA) in Guangzhou, China. The lounge will be available to first and business class passengers, as well as Star Alliance Gold status customers, on member airline flights departing from the airport's Terminal 1. The new Star Alliance-branded facility is located in a dedicated space on the upper level of the existing GBIA general lounge in the international section of the terminal and will be operated by the airport. The alliance says that the departure gates of its member airline flights will be assigned close to the new lounge, saving travellers time.
