Small-town Yorkshire charm never looked so lively

Not too many people have heard of Beverley, though the odds increase drastically north of Birmingham. But there is another Beverley that might spring to mind… America’s most sought-after postcode, 90210, is thought to take after Beverley, East Yorkshire. The link is a little convoluted, but Beverley Hills is thought be named after Beverly Farms in Massachusetts, which is thought to have been named after the Yorkshire town by British settlers in 1668. All this to say that while the two places could not be more different, to many Yorkshire lads and lasses, HU17 (Beverley) is by far the North’s most sought-after postcode.
