STAR LETTER WHATEVER THE WEATHER As a Yorkshirewoman myself, I’ve always felt an affinity with the Brontës and I enjoyed reading the article by Jenny Rowe-Patel [BRITAIN Vol 92 Issue 6]. A visit to the Parsonage Museum is often requested by visitors to our home and I have been there in all seasons and all weathers, often feeling obliged to apologise for the latter. On one occasion, though, I was completely taken by surprise. It was a typical February morning in Haworth – gloomy, blowing a gale and with rain coming down in stair rods – but my companion, a young Frenchwoman, was thrilled to bits.
