Meine Freundin, der Silberfisch, ist sehr gut darin, Dinge, die außer Sichtweite liegen, zu vergessen. Aus den Augen, aus dem Sinn. Ich teile diese Einstellung übrigens. Vielleicht haben wir beide deshalb einen offenen Kleiderschrank? Wer weiß. Das Letzte, was meine Freundin nicht sah und somit vergaß: eine Metallplatte in ihrem linken Handgelenk, die nach einem Bruch vor Jahren alles zusammenhalten sollte. Das tat sie auch. Und noch mehr: Fein säuberlich säbelte die Platte langsam die Beuge-sehne ihres Daumens durch. Resultat: ein Daumen, der sich nicht mehr beugen lässt. Nun liegen also Hand und Unterarm für drei Monate (das schrie meine Freundin mir fast entgegen!) in einer Gipsschiene – und der Daumen angewinkelt mit einem Gummiband in der Handinnenfläche, damit er das Beugen wieder lernt. Royales Winken ist derzeit ein Kinderspiel…
