NUR RAUS AUS DEM GOLDENEN KÄFIG Weihnachten 1991. Es ist kalt auf Sandringham, dem königlichen Landsitz in Norfolk. Nicht nur das Gemäuer, auch die Stimmung bei Queen & Co. ist frostig. Diana (oscarverdächtig: Kristen Stewart) hält es nicht mehr aus. Ungeliebt und verzweifelt streift sie ziellos durch die Gänge. Sie will endlich raus aus dem goldenen Käfig und der Ehe mit Prinz Charles (Jack Farthing) entfliehen. Keine ihr zugedachte Rolle mehr spielen, sondern ein selbstbestimmtes Leben führen … Nach „Jackie“ mit Natalie Portman (als Kennedy-Witwe) setzt Regisseur Pablo Larraín auch Lady Di ein berührendes Denkmal.
