TRAINING STELLA I recently got a German shepherd puppy that I named Stella. She is currently 48 pounds and is 5 months old. Stella is taking an American Kennel Club good-citizen class. We are going to train her to be a diabetes-awareness dog for my brother. After she’s trained, she will be able to alert my brother if his blood-sugar levels are too high or too low 15-20 minutes before his pump does. Stella likes treats and running around in the backyard. Right now, we are trying to introduce her to new people and places. Overall, she is a very cute and healthy puppy.
