SØDT MINDE OM MØDET MED MARY Meget sødt refererede han i talen både til sit møde med Mary ved OL i Australien i 2000 og til sin bryllupstale, hvor han afrundede med et citat af sangskriveren Lars H.U.G – ”kom lad os gå, kom lad os se – gennem tusind verdener venter vægtløs kærlighed”. Det var en glad og afslappet kong Frederik, der trådte frem tilmikrofonen, efter at alle havde sat sig. Her overraskede han fra start ved at tilføje et par improviserede ord til den planlagte tale, der var sendt ud til tv-stationerne på forhånd. Derfor harmonerede underteksterne ikke helt med de talte ord. – Deres majestæter, mine damer og herrer, kære gæster.
