Efter et voldsomt sygdomsforløb kan sangeren og musikeren Lars Lilholt glæde sig over, at han den 14. marts rundede de 70 år med begge hænder på rattet og fuld kontrol over kursen på livets landevej.

Som frontfigur i et stort band og efter 40 år som en meget synlig stjerne på den danske musikhimmel er sanger, musiker, komponist og tekstforfatter Lars Lilholt en garvet teamspiller. Men han vil gerne selv bestemme. Også hvornår han skal holde op med at gøre det, han elsker … nemlig at stå på en scene og spille musik. Sidste år var en kræftsygdom godt i gang med at beslutte, at Lars Lilholt ikke skulle på turné den sommer. I februar 2022 blev han opereret for tarmkræft, og efter den vellykkede operation stødte der komplikationer til i form af tarmslyng og bughindebetændelse.
