Mange husker, hvor de var søndag den 14. januar 2024, da kong Frederik blev udråbt som konge og overtog tronen fra sin mor, dronning Margrethe. Det gør sig i allerhøjste grad også gældende for fotograf Mads Nissen, for han var til stede inde på Christiansborg Slot, hvor selve tronskiftet fandt sted. ”Et vanvittigt godt billede og et fantastisk fotografi”. Det er med de ord fra dommerne, at Politikens Mads Nissen i år er blevet kåret som vinderen af Årets Pressefoto, der i år fejrer 50 års jubilæum.
