Selvom prinsesse Marie bor i USA, er hun jævnligt i Danmark for at sætte fokus på sine mærkesager og for at slappe af helt privat med familien. Prinsessen fylder i dag, torsdag, 49 år.

■ Prinsesse Marie fylder i dag, torsdag den 6. februar, 49 år, og det bliver fejret helt privat. Marie bor sammen med prins Joachim og parrets to børn, komtesse Athena, 13, og grev Henrik, 15 år, i Washington D. C. i USA, hvor prinsen arbejder som forsvarsindustriattaché. Prinsesse Marie passer fra USA flere af sine pligter herhjemme, men tager også jævnligt turen fra USA til Danmark sammen med prins Joachim og deres børn Henrik og Athena. Udover at passe deres officielle gøremål og protektioner er parret et par gange om året hjemme i helt privat regi for at nyde afslappende dage i de smukke rammer på Schackenborg Slot i Møgeltønder i Sønderjylland eller i deres hus i Gentofte. Prinsefamilien er desuden næsten hvert år på besøg på Bellahøj i København,…
