■ Stemningen var intens og smuk i den gamle Sankt Nicholas Ragavas Kirke i den græske hovedstad Athen, da Nikolaos de Grece og hans brud, Chrysi Vardinogianni, blev viet af biskop Amfilochios. Vielsen fandt sted midt i det intime og smukt udsmykkede kirkerum. Biskoppen velsignede Nikolaos og Chrysi med ord, der berørte brudeparret dybt, og fik tårerne til at trille. – Må jeres liv blive fyldt med glæde, fred, kærlighed, skønhed og vesignelse, sagde Amfilochios og takkede derefter parret for at have fået æren af at forestå den græsk-ortodokse vielsesceremoni. Tæt på brudeparret sad dronning Anne-Marie, der ligesom alle andre så ud til at være berørt af ordene fra biskoppen og af at se Nikolaos og Chrysi stå sammen midt i kirken.
