How did “Nights Like This” happen? CLAMS CASINO LAROI first reached out to me online when he was 17, working with a mutual collaborator, Billy Walsh. Billy made the connection, and LAROI was familiar with a lot of stuff I had done. I went out to Los Angeles, we met up in the studio, but nothing came out of that first time. A year-and-a-half later, I was at my studio in New York making beats, and I thought this was the one to send to him. I just had a feeling. He immediately responded that he loved it, recorded it and sent it back in a day. Once it happened, it was quick, but the roots were a long time in the making.
