Triumph Speed Triple RS Pros: brilliant engine matches CB’s and the suspension is higher quality. Cons: design isn’t as cohesive or original. More expensive than CB yet no quickshifter or auto-blipper . Kawasaki Z1000 Pros: almost £2000 cheaper than the CB, which is a lot, with a similarly hilarious engine. Looks wilder too. Cons: no electronic rider aids, should you like that sort of thing. Weird two-part tacho too. Suzuki Katana Pros: slick retro looks, proven engine and chassis from GSX-S1000. Likely to be £1000 less than CB. Cons: absurdly small 12-litre tank. Plus it’s not actually on sale until 2019.…
