It’s more newbie-friendly than ever – but Triumph hope their changes to next year’s 900cc Street Twin will also suit improving riders

Without even thinking, you go for more throttle – only to find it’s already hard against the stop. It’s a familiar feeling on a 125 or a 300. But on a 900? Triumph have sold 17,500 Street Twins worldwide (1900 in the UK) since the bike was introduced in 2016. Next year’s version gets an 18% power increase – but at 64bhp from 900cc it’ll still be one of the softest-tuned new bikes you can buy. As in, they could probably get another 30bhp if they wanted to.
