Dear Bike, my beautiful wife of 30 years, sadly lost her two year brave battle with cancer three weeks ago at the very young age of 53.
Throughout our fight against this terrible disease and especially now she has gone, just being out on my bike has been the absolute best source of therapy during this immensely difficult time.
My wife was not particularly adventurous by nature, however she announced on her 40th birthday that she wanted to learn to ride! She said: ‘well if you can’t beat them then join them.’ She successfully passed her full test in 2009 and only gave up riding when she could no longer feel her hands and feet properly as a result of her chemotherapy.
