BYWAY adventure

So there I was, riding my Kawasaki W650 along some of my favourite country lanes, taking in the Pilgrims’ Way along the North Downs in Kent. I started down a lane, wondering to myself why I hadn't been down here before, then realised why: the road stopped and became a byway. I was about to turn around when I looked ahead and thought: ‘Why not give it a go, doesn't look too bad.’ I have no off-road experience, riding a bike not exactly renowned for its off-road abilities.
