How to work in the round using the amigurumi method

When you work amigurumi toys, most patterns ask you to work your stitches in the round, but in a spiral shape rather than individual circles. To start off, you’ll still need to make a foundation ring – the magic loop is best because it leaves no hole at the centre (see page 62 for a reminder on how to work it). If you prefer, you could work a different foundation ring, such as a basic ring (see page 54), but you may need to sew up the hole at the centre before you begin to stuff your toy.
