How to work the first round in treble crochet

Once you’ve mastered double crochet in the round, try treble crochet in the round. Make a basic ring and then follow our guide below to work the first round of trebles. With treble crochet, you’ll need to make a 3-ch turning chain at the start of every round (see page 46 for more details about turning chains). Then you can work the stitches of that round. At the end of every round, join the last stitch to the first stitch using a slip stitch (we’ll show you how in the photos below).
