HOW TO COUNT STITCHES
Being able to count your stitches is vital and helps you to make sure that you’re following a pattern correctly. It’s a good idea to count your stitches at the end of every row, especially after the first row of stitches worked into your foundation chain. To count tall stitches such as treble crochet, it’s usually easiest to look at the tall ‘stem’ of the stitches (see above), rather than the v-shaped top of the stitch. If you made 24 chains (21 chains plus 3 turning chains), you should now have 22 treble stitches.…
