The key way to start off your crocheting

You’ll use chain stitches in various places when you’re crocheting, but one of the key areas is to make foundation chains. For most crochet projects, you’ll start off by making a length of chain stitches, which is called a foundation chain. You’ll then need to work your crochet stitches back along the chain length to create your first row of stitches – add more rows of stitches and you’ll make crochet fabric!
