Nid yng ngholeg y Brifysgol Caerdydd ym 1983 y bu John Saunders Lewis farw, wrth gwrs, ond fe’i lladdwyd yno gan ddarlith a seminar a thraethawd yn gelain las, bwdr. Ac nid oedd atgyfodi i fod… Fe’i lladdwyd am sawl reswm, am wn i. Am i’m tad-cu fynnu mai ffasgydd gwrth-Iddewig ydoedd. Am iddo encilio i’w gragen ym Mhenarth (o bob man yn y byd crwn) am bron iawn i hanner ei einioes. Un o’r ychydig bethau na chyfranasant at ei gwymp yn ein tylwyth ni oedd ei Gatholigiaeth.
