Cymaint oedd sêl y diweddar PAT NEILL dros farddoniaeth a thros y Gymraeg nes iddo ddwyn perswâd ar Barddas i sefydlu cystadleuaeth i’n beirdd ifengaf. Bydd y Tlws hwn, sef cadair fechan hardd, yn cael ei gynnig am y gerdd orau gan ddisgybl cynradd. Y fo ei hun oedd yn noddi’r gystadeuaeth, a gadawodd arian mewn Ymddiriedolaeth i Barddas er mwyn iddi gael parhau ar ôl iddo farw.
