Mercedes-Benz’s Smart city car division has been given fresh impetus with the introduction of two crucial new models in the form of the third-generation Fortwo and second-generation Forfour — both revealed here for the first time. Unveiled at a gala presentation in Berlin last week prior to the start of UK sales early next year, the new city car pairing has been developed as part of a broad-ranging engineering and production alliance between Mercedes-Benz and Renault, whose recently unveiled third-generation Twingo is a sister car to the new Forfour.
