Bye-bye la propulsion, elle a désormais recours à la plateforme à traction avant que l’on trouve déjà, notamment, sur la Série 2 Active Tourer. Au passage, elle abandonne son long capot et la variante trois portes, ne subsistant ainsi qu’en 5 portes. En parallèle, elle gagne une inédite variante coupé 5 portes, rattachée à la Série 2 bien qu’elle n’en reprenne pas la base, et nommée Gran Coupé. La gamme de motorisations reste assez restreinte au lancement avec cinq blocs, dont les puissances vont de 109 à 306 ch. Pas de version Motorsport, au mieux la M135i, disponible en deux ou quatre roues motrices, pas non plus de variante hybride rechargeable. DES…
