ELSEWHERE on Toyota’s Tokyo stand, the brand revealed the Concept-i RIDE. The small, fully electric ‘mobility vehicle’ uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to learn the habits and preferences of the driver. A little larger than a Renault Twizy, the RIDE features gullwing doors to aid access. Inside, the steering wheel and pedals have been replaced by a joystick located on the arms of the front seat, while a large digital readout also displays vehicle information and data.
