Hankook tyres are already fitted as original equipment by premium car makers such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and Volkswagen, reflecting its intention to rival European tyre manufacturers. The new sub-brand’s name, Optimo, refers to one of Hankook’s popular allseason tyre ranges. But it has now been spun off into a brand in its own right, with a full complement of summer, winter and all-season tyres that are said to balance performance and affordability.
