You get more boot and rear seat space in the longer, taller Mini five-door, which adds $1000 to Cooper and $1500 to Cooper S. The John Cooper Works hatch starts at $56,500 with manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions. Cooper convertible starts at $45,020. Cooper S is $53,470 and the John Cooper Works is $62,210. Cooper runs BMW’s 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine with 100kW of power and 220Nm of torque.
