MERCEDES-BENZ A-CLASS FROM $66,900

Mercedes-Benz recently deleted the base A180 from the lineup, so start money is now a hefty $66,900 for the 2.0-litre turbopower, 165kW A250 with all-wheel drive. A Class sedans kick off with the all-wheel drive A250 at $67,900. The A35AMG hatch, with a 225kW 2.0-litre turbopetrol/seven-speed dual clutch/all-wheel drivetrain, is $82,000. The sedan is priced at $83,400. Mercedes introduced MBUX, the most sophisticated voice control system to date, with this A Class. It has since been copied by several other makers. Once roused by saying “Hey Mercedes”, MBUX can deduce that if the driver says something such as “I’m feeling cold”, then they would like the cabin temperature increased by a couple of degrees.
