There’s no single answer. If you live a capital city, in a house with a garage and solar on the roof, and you leave town infrequently, via the airport rather than the highway, then an EV is certainly a viable choice right now.
Used EV values, as predicted by Redbook, are now stronger than a few years ago, as it becomes obvious that EVs are here to stay. So buying an EV is no longer the depreciation disaster it once was.
