LAMBORGHINI HURACAN EVO

Lamborghini’s Huracan EVO is the first major overhaul of the original Huracan LP610-4 launched in 2014. It’s available as a coupe, priced at $459,000, and a Spyder convertible, for which prices had not been announced as we went to press. The aluminium/carbon fibre composite body gets improved aerodynamics, while the naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 is now the 470kW/600Nm variant previously used in the high-spec Performante model. Huracan EVO coupe weighs 1422kg. It reaches 100km/h from rest in 2.9 seconds — 0.3 seconds quicker than the original — and 200km/h in 9.0 seconds, en route to a top speed of “more than 325km/h”. Evo Spyder takes 3.1 seconds to reach the 100km/h mark. Drivetrain electronics are a significant part of the overhaul.
