Nissan’s Qashqai is a Euro-designed and engineered compact SUV.
Qashqai runs a 110kW/250Nm 1.3-litre four cylinder turbopetrol/continuously variable automatic/front wheel drivetrain.
Prices open at $33,890 for the base ST; ST+ is $37,890, ST-L is $42,190 and top spec Ti, tested here, is $47,390.
That’s a hefty whack, but this Qashqai, launched in 2022, takes a significant step up from its underwhelming predecessor in quality, refinement, engineering sophistication and standard equipment.
Ti includes, for example, leather upholstery, heated front seats with a massage function, 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment with navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay, a full length sunroof, Bose audio, hands free power tailgate, automatic parking, wireless phone charging and adaptive LED matrix headlights. So it’s pricey, but it’s loaded.
