Indian automotive giant Mahindra’s XUV700 is its most sophisticated offering yet, a big seven-seater SUV that’s spacious, stylish and packs the sort of drivetrain, safety, infotainment and luxury that’s normally available a long way north of a $36,990 driveaway starting price. That’s the ask for the base AX7, which features an all-digital dash with dual 10.25 inch instruments and infotainment screens, a full length sunroof, fake leather upholstery, three zone air and 18-inch alloys. Safety kit includes adaptive cruise, lane keep assist and speed sign recognition. The AX7-L, at $39,990 driveaway, adds blind spot monitoring, 360 degree cameras, great sounding 12 speaker audio, stop and go in traffic function for the adaptive cruise, wireless phone charging, and silly pop-out electric door handles that are just begging to be ripped off…
