The Lexus RZ 450e is the first Toyota-engineered dedicated EV to land in Australia. Similar in size to the RX petrol/electric hybrid, you pay a hefty premium for pure EV power. Prices start at $121,675 for Luxury grade; Sports Luxury is $133,675. RX starts at $86,904. Powering the RZ is a 71.4kWh battery that Lexus claims will still be capable of 90 percent capacity retention after 10 years. Electric motors on front and rear axles have combined outputs of 230kW and 435Nm, and in Sport mode the RZ can reach 100km/h from rest in a rapid 5.3 seconds.
