Competition variants have more power and go-fast gear for a sportier drive, plus the option of xDrive all-wheel drive for added traction over the reardrive models. Pricing starts at $161,300 plus on-road costs for the six-speed manual M3 sedan. The Competition eight-speed auto is $171,600 and the xDrive drive version is $177,800. A race-focussed CS sedan is $249,900 and the Touring wagon, available only with the Competition xDrive pack, is $180,100. M4 models start with the rearwheel drive manual coupe, at $168,700.
