John Goss specialist Loved the story on the John Goss Specials (in AMC #78). It hit my letterbox and I was right into it. Just one thing I picked up on. The story states that the early JGSs had the vertical rear-quarter repeater light and the later batch had the horizontal version. This is not entirely correct; horizontal rear repeaters on later cars is indeed a trend but far from the rule. My JGS was one of the first in the initial batch and has the horizontal rear repeater! I’ve seen many other examples. I have spent a LOT of time tracking down the history of my JGS.
