IN THE LOOP I've never been one to rush into finalising a plan for a layout. I prefer to take my time before construction commences to contemplate a draft plan.. I find it beneficial to take a little time and shift things around in my head for a few weeks or even months while I'm drafting a plan. I suppose you can alter the arrangement of your track after it's laid and the scenery's in place but doing so is a major undertaking and best avoided if possible. I've had a few weeks recently to do some of this contemplation whilst partially lining the walls of my layout room.
