Every time you think motorcycle development has plateaued and toppedout, a manufacturer finds a way to head off in a different direction and recreate the wheel to a certain degree. One of the manufacturers at the forefront of this development is Yamaha. With the success so far this year of the WBR Bulk Nutrients Yamaha team in Australia with their ProMX MX3 results, I decided to select their bike as the representative in this three-way factory bike comparo between Honda, Yamaha and KTM. The team owned the MX3 podium at Round 1 of the ProMX in Wonthaggi, Victoria finishing first, second and third and held the red plate with leader Koby Hantis after six rounds before losing it to Honda's Jake Cannon.
