You didn’t follow the usual path of minibikes and junior motocross? Not really. I started on a pushbike and was jumping all sorts of home-made ramps on my BMX and Dragstar pushy. It was probably because of that that my parents wouldn’t buy me a minibike. When I was about 10, I built a ramp out of old cupboard doors and things with a paper wall in front of it and the plan was to douse it in petrol and ride through it.
