The most interesting thing about this bike is the inner clutch cover. The 1989-model inner clutch cover has threaded outlet and inlets for the cooling hoses as opposed to the later model cases that have cast outlets that you simply slip the cooling hoses over the top. So I bought a new one of those and I bought a new cylinder head and had both parts painted in Porsche amethyst purple – which is a $12,000 option from Porsche on a GT3 if you ever want one. I bought a liter of it for $97 and had a local panel beater paint them for me.
