Als Russland die Ukraine überfiel, machte sich Mila Teshaieva auf den Weg in ihre Heimat, um sich der Geschichte auszusetzen. Im Gespräch mit art erzählt sie offen von ihren Erlebnissen, Zweifeln und wie diese Erfahrungen sie geprägt haben

»Wer die Vergangenheit kontrolliert, kontrolliert die Zukunft« Leicht außer Atem kommt Mila Teshaieva zum Treffpunkt in der FOTOAGENTUR OSTKREUZ in Berlin. Ihre braunen Augen leuchten, sie spricht schnell. In der Hand hält sie einen Fotodruck, der direkt per Kurier nach Luxemburg geschickt werden muss, wo morgen ihre Ausstellung eröffnet. Es fehlt noch ein Bild. Diese Woche muss sie auch einen Dokumentarfilm fürs Fernsehen fertig schneiden und abgeben. Seit 2010 lebt die 1974 in Kiew geborene Fotografin abwechselnd dort und in Berlin. ART: Am 24. Februar erreichte uns die Nachricht von dem russischen Angriff auf die Ukraine. Wo warst du, als du davon gehört hast? Mila Teshaieva: Ich war zu Hause in Berlin.
