I created The Grace Journal as a way to process the sudden loss of my mom. The very first page is a piece of watercolor paper that I ripped and cut, and then repaired lovingly with stitches, tape, and bits of paper to symbolize a wound. I made this page before I ever even thought of making the journal. Under this first page is the color pink for healing love. ART THERAPY This journal allowed me to work through so many different emotions I experienced in my grief. I went from extreme sadness to anger, to joy, to celebration, to confusion, to happiness, and then back again.
