Som 19-åring och oplanerat gravid ville Inger Holegård göra abort. Efter tre intervjuer hos Mentalvårdsbyrån blev aborten godkänd. Hon tvingades föda fram fostret.

Inger gjorde abort innan den var fri Hon var 19 år och lämnad ensam i en sjuksal med svåra förlossningsvärkar. Om och om igen ringde Inger Holegård på klockan för att få hjälp mot smärtan. Om och om igen trycktes hon bort av personalen. – Till slut fräste de åt mig att sluta ringa. De satt ju i ett möte, säger Inger som upplevde att de menade att hon fick skylla sig själv som varit lösaktig. Från de andra salarna hördes barnskrik. Inger hade placerats på en avdelning med nyförlösta mammor. – Jag minns att jag kräktes av smärtan och att jag kräktes ut ärtor.
