Everything about AD’s December cover is larger than life. Razor House, a legendary cantilevered marvel by architectural designer Wallace E. Cunningham, overlooking the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla, California, has been called “America’s coolest home” and an “architectural masterpiece,” and is rumored to be the inspiration for Tony Stark’s futuristic bachelor pad in the Iron Man movies. Very few people could take up residence and hold their own in such an epic, audacious space. But the current owners, megastar Alicia Keys and her husband, renowned music producer Kasseem Dean (Swizz Beatz), have the superhero (superheroic?) quality the vast structure demands.
