Intel’s 13th and 14th Gen desktop CPUs have a serious instability problem, and it’s the last thing the company needs as it struggles to turn its chip-manufacturing fabs around and keep up with AMD, Nvidia, and Qualcomm. What’s going on, and can Intel survive this latest catastrophe? When Pat Gelsinger returned to Intel as CEO in 2021, I don’t think I was alone in feeling optimistic.
