To misquote an old proverb, you can lead a duck to water but you can’t make it sink. Similarly, until recently, you could download the DuckDuckGo browser but you couldn’t make it sync. That was one of the missing features that made me waddle away from the private browser, after initially believing it was the best thing since sliced bread (which you’re not supposed to feed ducks with any more). DuckDuckGo is a close competitor to Brave, so I was disappointed that it then sat on its feathery behind for eight months without adding anything new. Happily, that’s now changed and, although it still won’t let you install extensions, DuckDuckGo has introduced the ability to sync your bookmarks and passwords across devices.
