GhostBSD was first released in 2010, presenting itself as a more user-friendly alternative to FreeBSD, on which it’s based. The official ISO is 2.6GB and uses the MATE desktop, though there’s also a community image running Xfce. Whichever version you choose, downloads are available both via BitTorrent and directly from the website.
