Here we are, reviewing the new Nvidia cards. As we do, because graphics cards are core to PCs and the arrival of a new GPU is usually cause for much excitement in our world. Except you can’t buy them. They’re “not available” anywhere you look. Then there’s the pricing… a top-end 5090 is almost $6,000. What? And, if you do manage to get one, it might catch fire and burn your house down. That drama covered on page 8. What a disaster. This is a paper launch, there’s no doubt about that. I’ve been checking the major reseller sites daily since they were listed, and not once have I ever seen any 5080 or 5090 listed that was actually in stock.
