AMD’s pricing challenge

Fun and graphics card games at CES 2025.

As the old saying goes, AMD never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. So it was at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. We were all expecting AMD to go big with the new RDNA 4 GPUs during its CES keynote. In the end, RDNA 4 was barely mentioned. There were more details on RDNA 4 in the pre-release materials handed to journalists prior to the keynote than in the actual keynote. AMD reps claimed the sparsity of info was due to time constraints. The organisers of CES, we were told, only allow for 45 minutes for such talks.
